Currently, he is the creator and co-executive producer of the CBS primetime series Ghost Whisperer starring Jennifer Love Hewitt. This show premiered in September 2005 and has become the #1 drama for CBS. In May 2006, James signed a deal to develop additional projects for Paramount. Under the one-year deal, which covers scripted reality series and television movies, he also guest hosts the entertainment news magazines Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
